FAQ

I use it in the main floor of my house, covering about 1,600 square feet of contiguous space. It seems to work without any issues in a space that size.

My husband and I agree that the dyson air multiplier does cool way better than the old styles of fans with blades (especially depending on size and power). Of course, those huge metal industrial fans that are 3 feet across and look like they could power an airboat probably cool better than a dyson air multiplier. The dyson air multiplier moves a lot more air and circulates it better than the average oscillating home use fan. The way it sucks air in through it and blows it out is amazing. I hung up a towel to dry and it got sacked into the hole in the middle and the towel vibrated and the whole thing almost got success though. Our bedroom is 17×14 and it chills the bedroom well. The stream of air does reach across the whole bedroom. There is the added benefit of the no bufetting. It makes a difference when listening to music, TV or ambient noise from speakers. The way the fan blades buffets air on traditional fans really disrupts sound waves from speakers and after trying a dyson air multiplier you will hear the difference.l

Hi It does cool an average size room. Please call the store at 800-442-8227 and ask for our vacuum specialist for further details. Thank you Scott

As others have noted, you can buy a replacement filter for the Pure Cool Link much cheaper than on Amazon..in fact… you can order it *right through your Dyson app on your phone*!!.. As of the writing of this answer (7/11/17) the cost through the app is $69 plus $8 shipping, and you can even use Amazon Pay.

So far it seems to be working wonderfully. I really like the wifi connectivity and phone app. I use a wheelchair and I like controlling the fan from bed. The setup is done well too: The fan has it's own access point, so you can connect to it wirelessly to set it up with your own wifi settings. I presume that you could just leave it set to use its own SSID as well. The phone application does a good job at making the setup easy. It runs you through each step nice and cleanly. My only complaint so far is that the schedule doesn't update. I set up the phone app with a schedule. It's suppose to update the fan itself with the schedule but it does not. I know I have wifi connectivity because I can see the fan on my network and I can control it from my phone without any issues. I just can't get it to accept and update the schedule. The big question ... it it worth $500 for this fan and air purifier? My answer: It's only worth it if you can afford it comfortably. If you have to save up for many months in order to afford one ... don't buy it.

This product is expensive, but you are not just buying a fan. You are purchasing better air quality. I love the simple design, but this unit is jam-packed with all kind of sensors. You can now check for air quality, temperature, and even humidity. The bladeless fan is icing on top. This purifier does a fantastic job at eliminating allergens. We have 2 dogs and 2 kids. Anyone with kids will understand how much pollution they manage to bring into your home. I am constantly finding dirt, plants, rocks, and all kind of debris in their pockets. With this purifier, the family can breathe a lot easier. It makes the air feel cleaner and less musty. The extra wifi features with Alexa is a nice touch. I do think the software needs a little update. I own multiple units and the voice command becomes too complicated to execute. They need to make it more intuitive in the next update. I want to be able to control my Dyson in the kitchen without the prompt "say 1 for the kitchen, 2 for the bedroom, etc..." This unit is simple and effective. I must say during wildfire season in California, you definitely notice how amazing this air purifier really is.

This is honestly a great product. Simply put it is a decent fan and a decent air purifier. You will likely find other products that do these individual tasks better, but the convenience of having this two in one is definitely worth the price tag. The construction is much more lightweight than I anticipated but it is sturdy and well built. Dyson usually has a premium on their products for the brand, but for the value this product seems pretty reasonable. Keep in mind the filters can get expensive and will need to be replaced, but I don't have any reason to rate this lower than 5 stars because there is not any alternative that does what this product does and looks as good. It is not exactly fair to knock off stars because "I" personally think the product category should be worth less but because Dyson is the leader in this category they get to set the price. I do think it should be a bit cheaper, although I don't feel like I overpaid.
